To know the real Central America is to watch a new day begin above the lush jungle as it has done for countless millennia in this, one of the few virgin wildernesses remaining in the world.

Join Pangaea Expeditions for the journey of a lifetime as we travel through the Mundo Maya. This expedition will be a two-week exploration into the depths of Mayan history and culture. Our tracks will take us to remote Mayan ruins, where the lush jungle with its wide variety of flora and fauna will envelope us. We'll also stop and visit the world famous Belize Cayes, home to the second largest barrier reef in the world.

Starting in the coastal town of Corpus Cristi, Texas, our expedition will travel down the gulf coast of Mexico. From there, we'll cross the Yucatan and enter into the Mundo Maya or “Mayan World”. Traveling though Belize and Guatemala, we will visit a variety of incredible Mayan ruins including Palenque, Caracol, and perhaps the most famous of them all, Tikal. Along the way we'll experience the real Mexico and Central America, far different from that presented in the resorts of Cancun and Cabo.
