Petersen’s 4Wheel and Off-Road Magazine has just announced the results of their prestigious annual round up of the best 4×4 vehicles. When the dust settled, the 2011 Land Rover LR4 was given the lofty title of 4×4 of the Year. You can read all about the challenge, as well as their thoughts on the LR4 online, or in the February 2011 issue.
The magazine praised the new LR4s excellent underbody protection including factory skid plating, excellent visibility, thoughtful placement of underbody mechanical bits as well as the newly-refined Terrain Response system and flexible suspension, longstanding hallmarks of the Land Rover brand. Despite an embarrassing ABS fault late in the testing, the LR4 performed admirably.
