Bio Bonatti Debut

After months of work and many sleepless nights, the Bio Bonatti Project made its debut at the 2009 SEMA show in Las Vegas. The response has been both overwhelming and universally positive.

The Bio Bonatti Project is an attempt to build a “green”, environmentally-friendly and fully expedition prepared Land Rover Defender 110. The vehicle started off as a wrecked NAS Defender 90. It was rebuilt as a Defender 110 using primarily recycled vehicle parts. The petrol drivetrain was replaced with a 300 Tdi which has been modified to use a variety of biofuels including 100% biodiesel and waste vegetable oil.

Pangaea Expeditions drove the truck to and from the show using solely green fuel, supplied by SynDiesel. The fuel was a blend of clean burning synthetically manufactured diesel and soy and canola derived biodiesel.

We’ll upload photos and stories in the days that follow, so stay tuned.
